This webpage informs about the work of the Human-Robot Interaction team in the Robotic Collaborative Technology Alliance, a technology initiative of the United States Army Research Laboratory.
Our team has the vision and research expertise to revolutionize the interaction between humans and robots and allow robots to become effective teammates in a wide range of critical military operations. Our HRI research provides a basic understanding of underlying principles, the technology to effectively implement what we discover, and a clear path from the laboratory to field experiments.
Our research in human-robot intra-team cognition, multimodal communication, and social/organizational/cultural
collaboration, coupled closely with advances in Perception and Intelligence, enable effective mission performance of
mixed human/robot teams.
